The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. ~ Gandhi

I was born in Everett, Washington, at what was then General Hospital. My mom was a Realtor, my dad was an Army helicopter pilot, and I grew up moving around different parts of Snohomish County and Seattle. Today, I live in the Meadowdale neighborhood of Lynnwood with my wife, Sarah, and our family.

I have spent my entire adult life in sales, marketing, real estate, and customer service. Along the way, I learned there is a big difference between making a sale and creating a real customer experience. That belief has shaped the way I serve my clients and the way we built The Madrona Group.

Before becoming a full-time residential real estate broker, I ran a marketing agency focused on helping real estate professionals grow their businesses. That gave me a front-row seat to what worked, what didn’t, and what separated average marketing from great marketing. It also helped me build a strong foundation in real estate technology, online marketing, content strategy, and client communication.

Today, I bring that background into every listing, every buyer consultation, and every client relationship. My goal is simple: help people make smart real estate decisions, create a smooth and organized experience, and use strong marketing, clear communication, and skilled negotiation to help my clients succeed.

Family comes first for me. My wife Sarah and I love hiking together, and I proposed to her at the top of Mount St. Helens. We enjoy camping, road trips, working around the house, and taking advantage of everything the Northwest has to offer.

I am also a proud dad to Carter, Rowen, Tyler, and Hudson. When I am not working, you can usually find me with family, at the gym, on a trail, on a golf course, or cheering for the Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, and Huskies. And yes, I am still patiently waiting for the Sonics to come home.

People don’t care what you know, until they know you care”.

JOE KISER GREW UP IN THE PUGET SOUND AREA RAISED BY PARENTS FROM SMALL TOWN KANSAS.

His summers were spent helping out on my grandparents’ farm and gas station. He was taught the importance of good mid-west values like working hard and always treating people with respect and honesty. He was also taught that his word is the most important thing you have to offer anyone and he strives to follow that principle every day.

One of his greatest assets is the ability to create and foster trusting relationships, to really get to know his clients so he can help meet their needs and desires. His mom has always said that he has never met a stranger. His friends have nicknamed him “The Mayor” as it seems everywhere he goes he tends to bump into a friend or meet a new friend. More than anything, he feels that this sense of ease and comfort and trust with others has been the backbone of his sales career; he has never considered himself as a salesman.

Joe’s desire is: to build lifelong relationships with his clients through helping them with their real estate needs.

Once a sleepy fishing village in a northwestern corner of the city, Ballard has become one of Seattle’s hippest and most sought after neighborhoods. Ballard was largely settled by Europeans of Scandinavian origins who were drawn here by the salmon fishing industry. The neighborhood has embraced those roots with the Nordic Heritage Museum. The Museum celebrates Ballard’s community spirit and its Scandinavian history. Modern day Ballard is home to some of the city’s best music venues, restaurants and bars. An effort to boost urban density in some of Seattle’s neighborhoods led to rapid development in Ballard’s core over the past several years. You can find condos and townhomes an easy walk away from Ballard’s bustling nightlife. But Ballard has maintained its neighborhood charm with historic homes on quiet streets as well. Ballard residents can be found the enjoying sandy beaches and spectacular views at Golden Gardens Park. There is no prettier place in Seattle than Golden Gardens as the sun sets behind Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. And Ballard is full of marinas and launch points for all kinds of water sports. One of Ballard’s most popular attractions is the Locks, which allow boats to travel between the salty seawater of Puget Sound and the fresh water in Lake Washington and Lake Union. The Locks carry more boat traffic than any other system in the United States. The fish ladder and nearby botanical gardens are a must-see when you visit the Locks too. If you’d like to learn more about Ballard, let us know. We’d love to show you around and help you find your perfect home.
